The Mercedes-Benz we are offering is a beautiful Mercedes-Benz SL 500 with German first delivery in the colour combination petrol-metallic/dattel brown. The SL model series 107, which was launched in 1971 as the successor to the so-called "Pagode" (Mercedes-Benz W 113), established a new design line at Mercedes-Benz with its wide-band H4 headlights and large fluted tail lights. A slight wedge shape indicated improved aerodynamics. The designer responsible for this series was once again Friedrich Geiger, who had already been responsible for the timeless creations of the 300 SL (including the Roadster) and the Mercedes-Benz 500 K.

The SL was delivered in Germany and exported to the USA. It is a European model without conversions that was part of the collection of a wealthy enthusiast there. Over the decades, the roadster was only occasionally used for outings, which is why the mileage is comparatively low.
