Delivered new on 9th December 1985 via MAHAG Munich, the car remained with its first owner until it was acquired nearly three decades later by an enthusiast from Bad Kreuznach. From there, it passed through the hands of two fellow Porsche rally drivers in the same region, before joining its current keeper in 2017. There is a written letter in the folder of the car which shows below specification from new:

The car presents beautifully with a clean, well-preserved interior, showing light, honest patina consistent with age and careful use (an above-average cabin for a 1980s 911). The exterior shows signs of partial repainting in the past. Paint quality is good overall; one higher reading was noted on the front left wing, where corrosion was previously addressed. Factory spot-welds in the engine bay remain visible and correct. There is no sign of rust at the typical sports like around the window frames, doors and sills. The option-sticker in the front trunk is also present. Original items are included, such as the Porsche owner’s manual, tool kit, period emergency tow strap and more. A well-loved, well-sorted Carrera with the right mechanical work completed. Not a garage queen, but a turnkey driver with genuine emotional appeal.
