The Maserati we are offering is a Maserati 4Porte (Quattroporte) in the 4.9l version with Italian first delivery in the colour combination Marrone Metallizzato/brown. The third Quattroporte series is one of the most successful series of the Maserati group in the 80's and represents the revival of the brand by the former De Tomaso owner.

 

The third series of the Quattroporte was designed independently by world-famous designer, Giorgio Giugiaro, who also designed cars such as the Ferrari 250 GT, BMW M1, as well as numerous other models that have gained enormous value today.

 

Some 2,100 examples were produced between 1979 and 1986, of which the 4.9l variant combined with the automatic transmission is one of the most popular and widely produced models.

The vehicle has no visible defects. Rust spots were only found under the bonnet and in very small places during the photo shoot (see pictures). The engine starts immediately. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly.

 

The Maserati is the counterpart to the 4Porte 4.2l, which is also being sold for reasons of space, and is parked in a dry and safe garage just outside Hamburg. The vehicle has been deregistered in the meantime and can be test driven and viewed by appointment.
