Our offered Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II is one of 8,425 examples hand-built in Great Britain between 1977 and 1980. Today, only a few Silver Shadow II models remain in running and regularly maintained condition. This car is one of them.
The car is powered by the legendary 6.7-litre V8 engine, producing around 200 hp, combined with a smooth 3-speed automatic transmission. The power steering provides the unmistakable “magic carpet” ride that Rolls-Royce became world-famous for. When new, the Silver Shadow II cost around USD 21,910, making it one of the most exclusive luxury cars of its time.
This particular example was ordered on 17th October 1978 and first delivered to the USA on 30th June 1979. It was originally finished in Shell Grey with red leather upholstery and Cherry Red carpets. At an unknown date, it was repainted in the Rolls-Royce colour “Pewter,” which is close to the original Shell Grey. In 2004 the car was shipped to the Netherlands, and since 2008 it has been registered in Germany with its current owner. Over the past 17 years, the current keeper has added nearly 70,000 miles, bringing the total mileage to just over 100,000 miles. Unlike many over-restored examples, this Shadow II has been driven, maintained, and enjoyed, making it a true “driver’s Rolls-Royce.”

This Rolls-Royce is not a showroom queen but a well-kept driver’s car with character. The interior shows a beautiful patina that underlines its authenticity. Corrosion on the underside was professionally removed at considerable expense, and the car has been serviced regularly. A new alternator has recently been installed to resolve a charging issue. Documentation and invoices for the work carried out, as well as additional records are available upon request.
An honest, well-maintained Silver Shadow II with charm, patina, and extensive use. Proof that these cars were made to be driven. Available for viewings and test drives in Hamburg. The vehicle is being sold on behalf of the customer.
