Our offered Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato was originally first registered in 1972. The current owner acquired the car as a bare body shell with parts and, over the years, carefully restored and reassembled it. During this process, all major components – including engine, differential, and interior – were meticulously overhauled and rebuilt. Once the restoration was completed, the car was officially re-registered in 2021 and has since been occasionally enjoyed in fair weather. Extensive photo documentation of the work is available.

Only 1,108 examples of the 1300 Junior Zagato and just 402 examples of the 1600 version were ever produced, making this one of the rarest post-war Alfa Romeos. Designed by Ercole Spada at the renowned coachbuilder Zagato, the Junior Zagato combined avant-garde styling with the lightweight agility of the Giulia platform.

This particular car is fitted with a 1600 engine, giving the lightweight 1300-derived chassis a noticeable performance boost. The result is a highly engaging driving experience, especially on winding country roads, where the Zagato truly comes alive as a precise and nimble corner carver. Finished in classic Alfa Romeo red with a black interior, it perfectly reflects the brand’s sporting tradition.

An expert valuation carried out in Germany assessed the car at EUR 55,000 with a replacement value of EUR 65,000. Since its re-registration in 2021, the current owner has only driven it sparingly, preserving its condition while keeping it mechanically fresh.
